Cleaning and care belong in the brief
Discuss the installer’s proposed jointing, initial clean and aftercare information. No paving is maintenance-free: local shade, trees, cooking areas and drainage influence how the surface will weather and need cleaning.

Is porcelain completely non-slip?
No outdoor surface should be described that way. Ask for product information relevant to the intended use and discuss slope, water, contamination and maintenance with the supplier and installer.
Can indoor and outdoor tiles line up?
Sometimes, but the build-up, thresholds, weathering, drainage and product specifications must be resolved. A visual match does not make indoor tile suitable outside.
Why do porcelain cuts affect price?
Large or dense units, numerous corners, curves, steps and service details can increase setting-out, specialist cutting, handling and finishing time.
